Our bal-swing program is here! Originally a closed position dance strictly called Balboa, it later developed to include fancy swing moves and became Bal-Swing or California Swing. Balboa is a fine mixture of dances, and should definitely be explored by any lindy hopper who loves to dance! It is sometimes challenging but only in the name of fun; so completion of our Jitterbug series is suggested, or previous balboa experience.
Birkley Wisniewski and Krystal Moss are a couple of Sugar Swing’s experienced balboa instructors, though not the only ones. With an extensive background studying balboa for the past several years they have taught workshops across the prairies and have traveled to far places to learn from all the Balboa masters.
