Jazz + Lindy Intensive
Sugar Swing is pleased to host a mini workshop weekend with an exceptional dancer, deejay, instructor, and all-round great person: Meghan Gilmore of Montreal, Quebec! She is both a fantastic lead and follow, with mad skills and experience in solo jazz. She is a key instructor and coach at Cat’s Corner, Montreal’s premier swing dance school and the largest in Canada.
What to expect
Friday & Saturday Dances: Meghan will be our featured DJ and drop-in instructor of the weekend; you can expect to see a lot of her at the socials! Be sure to come out to meet and dance with her!
Friday Evening, 6pm-8:10pm – a two hour class for intermediate-advanced through advanced Lindy Hop dancers. The theme of this class is to spice up your partner dancing!
Saturday Evening, 4:30pm-6:40pm – a two hour class for intermediate through advanced dancers to clarify your fundamentals. It’s all about the basics and brushing off the dust.
Sunday Afternoon, 2pm-4:10pm – a two hour solo jazz class for anyone with solo jazz experience. Expect a good challenge and tons of fun as you learn new rhythms, tricky sequences, and how to move your body well.
All classes include a 10m break somewhere in the middle

Starting at just $70 for 6 hours of class — but be warned. Prices increment by $10 for every 10 people who register, so be sure to get your tickets quick!

Levels – subjective and approximate
Intermediate = Taking or just completed Lindy Hop 2
Intermediate-Advanced = Completed Lindy Hop 2, in-or-completed Lindy Hop 3, in Mad Kittens or other team
Advanced = Lindy Hop 4, in Mad Cat, possibly in Mad Kittens
Private Lessons
Available from Thursday through Tuesday for $75/hr (singles or couples) by directly messaging Meghan Gilmore on Facebook.
