Description
Juan Villafane and Sharon Davis are performers and teachers of vintage swing and jazz dances. Juan hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina, while Sharon calls Perth, Australia home. Together they represent a diverse social and performance dance talent, including not only Lindy Hop, but also Charleston, Cakewalk, Blackbottom, Vintage Jazz, Breakaway, Balboa, Big Apple, Blues, Collegiate Shag, Burlesque and various other performance artforms of the jazz era. Sharon and Juan tour throughout the year, combining their loves for dance and travel.

International Lindy Hop Championships August 2008: Sharon and Juan take 1st place in the Strictly Lindy Open Division, Sharon takes 3rd in Cabaret and Juan takes 2nd in Cabaret!
Camp Hollywood 2008: Juan takes 1st place Lead in Advanced Jack & Jill, Sharon takes 1st place Follow in Advanced Jack & Jill, Sharon and Juan win 4th place in the Pro Lindy division, and Juan wins 1st place in Showcase Division with Kevin St Laurent.
Grenoble Lindy Hop Championships June 2008: Sharon and Juan win 1st place in Showcase division, 1st place in Fast division, 2nd place in Improv division, Sharon 3rd in Jack & Jill, and Sharon 1st place in the Charleston competition.
Camp Jitterbug May 2008: Sharon and Juan finalists in Lindy Hop Couples division, Juan a Jack & Jill finalist, and Sharon wins 1st place in the Charleston Battle.
Canadian Swing Championships May 2008: Sharon and Juan take out 1st and 2nd place in the Charleston Battle, 1st and 2nd place in the Advanced Lindy Hop Jack & Jill, and 1st and 3rd place in the Cabaret Showcase Division.
Classes
We will be offering 6 Intermediate Classes and 2 Advanced Classes over Saturday and Sunday. Intermediate classes will be 1.25hrs each and the advanced classes 1hr each.
Schedule
The workshop will also features 2 swing dances - both Friday and Saturday nights at the beautiful Dane Alberta studios!
